MY GAWD! I swear I did not mean to go…there again! I, I was…hungry!
It’s an EX-ceptional thang! UH, uh, he used to cook for me! You see!
Honestly, before I met my Ex, like good sex, I, uh, uh, well, I’m not even sure I ever had… a lamb chop, except busy nosing to over hear someone at the next table order at a fancy steakhouse. And when I’d see the stingy, albeit, a nicely garnished plate pass by my greedy eyes, I would go, “Dag, that’s all!” I mean, like a mere trio of some skinny bones with a little meat on the tips—my take at the time. All judgy-judgy with no clue! “Naaaah, I’ll pass! Y’all trip’n—at these prices! Feed me! Bring me a Porterhouse!”
But don’t let uh, size fool you; those little bites pack a punch of flavor! So, one late night, my Ex, with a thing for cooking up a storm…late night, uh, uh, set off the dang, uh, uh, smoke alarm, broiling some tiny “why bother” lamb chops! Comatose deep in sleep, I fell outta bed racing into the kitchen, “What in the world….?” Burning up the place; but, dang if it didn’t smell some kinda good up in there! I told you before, the boy could cook some uh, uh, meat, now!
Girrrrrl, 1:00am, I am barely awake, yawning and cussing, and you know how that go…my kitchen’s a hot mess—smokey, greasy, dirty dishes; still, lamb chop in one hand, rubbing my sleepy eyes with the other, I was grease’n, you hear me, GREASE’N on that, uh, uh, bone, try’na find me some, uh, uh, meat! Hee, heeee!
I digress!
Well, the Ex has since remarried, so, a girl gotta take matters into her own, uh, uh, kitchen!
Moral of the story, JUDGE NOT WHAT YOU CAN’T…SEE, TASTE AND UH, FEEL!
