STANDARD ROOM RATES (& INCLUSIONS)

Standard Room Rates are generally $180 and up, vary seasonally and are subject to change, as well, taxes, fees, gratuities and additional requested services are not included in room rates. Exclusive Use, Dining Experiences and additional services available at charge by reservation only.

FOR THE BEST RATES, you may contact me and/or BOOK DIRECT on my website and/or over the phone for more convenience and save on cost, by avoiding third-party service fees.

As I may be listed on other platforms—Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, etc., additional service charges apply.

Fifty percent (50%) deposit is due at time of reservation with the remaining 50% balance (including applicable taxes, fees and requested services) to be charged to your credit card on file within up to 14 days prior to your arrival.

All reservations are subject to the Maryland State Sales Tax, Prince George’s County Hotel Tax and Guest Services/Cleaning Fee. Deposit/Payments for reservations and all other services may be made direct on my website, alternatively, via mobile payment services (CashApp, Zelle, Venmo, Square, ApplePay & Paypal), pay by phone with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or ATM Bank Card. I also accept Cashier's/Traveler’s Checks and Money Orders. NO Cash, NO Personal Checks and NO Virtual Currency accepted. A reminder to ensure to bring with you a valid credit card and photo ID.

NOTE: By submitting a deposit and/or signing a contract, you—and on behalf of your party—are agreeing to respect and adhere to house policies & rules.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A $250 Refundable Security Deposit/Credit Card Hold only and Photo ID are required, along with any remaining balance (e.g., requested services), due on or BEFORE check-in and, as long as there are no damages/losses to property, the hold will be released within 7 days.

Cancellations

Certainly aware that life happens and plans do change. Free cancellation/refundable deposit within 24 hours of reservation; afterwards, deposits/payments are nonrefundable, though transferable (within up to one year). NOTE: No shows, cancellations (after 24 hours of reservation), late check-ins and early check-outs are responsible for full payment of the reservation in its entirety and are fully nonrefundable; accordingly, your credit card will be charged at the time of cancellation for the balance of your stay.

RESERVATION REQUIREMENTS

As the responsible party, you must be 25 years or older to make a reservation. By accepting this reservation, as the responsible party, you—and on behalf of your guests—hereby agree to the terms of this reservation.

For security and insurance purposes—after booking, the responsible party must provide the names and contact information for all guests who will be staying overnight/checking in—prior to check-in arrival.

VENUE CONTRACT REQUIRED

If you will be utilizing my home for anything separate from an overnight stay (with non-overnight guests), you will not only be charged a fee, but also, you’ll be required to and hereby agree to the terms, review, sign and submit a Venue Contract in advance to your arrival.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Guests agree to release and hold harmless all host(s), staff, vendors, subcontractors, landlords, the property, the property owner(s), the owner(s) and the business of MaribyCorpening dba Private Stay By MadlyGiving from any and all liability no matter the cause or negligence.

RESTRICTIONS — No pets, NO PARTIES, no children (under 13)

Although, I love them, too, children (under 13), pets, parties, events, smoking, alcohol, drugs and weapons are not conducive to the rather introspective, calming & restorative surroundings. While intimate affairs of 6-10 guests are offered (at additional charge by reservation only), WARNING: Maryland law prohibits drinking under the age of 21, use/carry of illicit drugs and illegal firearms.

No-Smoking Policy

For your health and safety, my home is smoke-free. Please do not smoke/vape inside the house—nor inside the bathing rooms. I require strict adherence to this policy, otherwise a $500 cleaning fee will be charged.

EXCLUSIVE USE

Guests should know that rental of a guest room does NOT imply nor suggest EXCLUSIVE USE to my home, as I may have other overnight guests, and/or one of my many popular dining experiences (which may or may not include registered overnight guests) may be scheduled during your stay—and, if so, I will inform you.

NOTE: Exclusive Use of my home may be reserved to include all three rooms AND corresponding meeting/brunch/dinner/tea party dining experience at additional charge and by reservation only. See below guest room rental options—one, two or all three guest rooms and/or full house + dining experiences.

MINIMUM / MAXIMUM STAY

From season to season, two (2) night minimum may be required; maximum stay is 7 days. NOTE: Business Conference Reservations require a 2-night minimum!

Maximum Number of Guests

For full-house overnight stay, three (3) queen beds, accommodating up to six (6) guests are available; though, up to four (4) additional guests are allowed to stay at $75/guest, as twin/full air mattresses are permissible; though, not included—10 guests max.

Registered Guests Only

ONLY registered guests—overnight and/or dining experiences—are permitted. If there are extenuating circumstances, please check with me.

Check-In / -out

Check-In is generally after 4:00pm, Check-Out is before 12:00pm. On the day of arrival, please text me at 301.455.4144 to keep me posted of the status of your expected time of arrival, as well, upon your departure, text me that you’ve checked out.

EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT

Early Check-In/Late Check-Out can be accommodated, if available. Late Check-Out fee of $50 (4 hours); though, please let me know in advance—as early/late check-in/out is not always available?

Breakfast—SERVED UPON REQUEST

As my guests have varying requirements and preferences, Breakfast and Other Meal Options are served UPON ADVANCED REQUEST AT CHARGE BY RESERVATION ONLY! NOTE: While Complimentary Help Yourself Continental is provided throughout your stay, Breakfast In Bed, Basic Breakfast, Bed & Breakfast Experience, Full Service Brunch Experiences & Catering Services are provided at charge by reservation only! You may reserve one of my 5-star I DREAM A BRUNCH / DINNER PARTY dining experiences—in advance at a separate charge (minimum 6 guests, maximum 10 guests).

CLEANING FEE

A Cleaning Fee is required for full-house reservations ($50-$150); though, please pick up after yourselves in shared spaces as you go, and upon your departure, if you don’t mind tossing your soiled towels, bath mats and robes in the laundry basket provided and place dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Appreciate your cooperation!

communications

Guests (especially, if through 3rd-party reservation channels) must ensure that I have your direct contact information (cell & email) so that we may communicate during your stay, if and however necessary. INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS be sure to connect with me on WhatsApp (Private Stay By MadlyGiving), as well, ensure that you’re set up to use Uber for local transportation.

CAR / UBER TRANSPORTATION IS NECESSARY / NOT WALKABLE

Please don’t be deceived by the close proximity on maps; yes, you can see it (The Gaylord), but you can’t walk directly to it from my house! While I am minutes/.2 miles literally in the backyard of National Harbor—a gated community, there is no rear access point; so, depending on where at the Harbor you’re going, you MUST DRIVE (3-8 minutes) the long way around; so, car/Uber Transportation is necessary.

CAR service / airport pickup

Upon reservation (at separate charge), guests may schedule airport pickup/drop off through my preferred service. Please ensure to directly contact and make car service reservations with Latianna of BLACK QUEEN CHAUFFEURS at 703.469.7708. On the day of, be sure to follow up by cell and connect again to confirm your scheduled pick up/drop off times/locations.

Parking / TranSpOrtation

Free Parking—You may park up in (never along) the driveway. Street parking is available; though, please do NOT block driveways nor mailboxes. As my home is located in Oxon Hill, MD, a suburb of Washington DC (20 minutes from downtown), car transportation is recommended; however, alternative transportation (Rideshare (Uber/Lyft), taxi, shuttle, sedan, limo, Metro train/bus, etc.) is accessible.
