Welcome to a kaleidoscope of African-American art, culture & history! This is so much more than my home; it is a Celebration of My Ancestry—a living altar to the queens who not only anchored, but profoundly shaped my existence.

Here, I honor the exceptional women who molded my life—My Momma, My Auntie, and My Mother-In-Law. Their spirits breathe life into the guest-room sanctuaries so named in their honor: Sissy, Shirley & Sanata.

Every inch of this space is a love letter to the matriarchs of my lineage. Step inside and be enveloped by a purpose-filled retreat adorned in deep, rich Afrocentric tapestries, alive with vibrant fabrics, prints and textures, commanded by a striking galleria of family history and African art—brilliant portraits and hand-carved masks that stand guard with silent majesty.

From the living room galleria, a striking showcase where adoring family photos gaze back at you whispering of wisdom, grounding the space in history, to the grand dining room, to the sun-drenched private deck, every corner invites connection. We embrace the art of conversation here—unplug in a sanctuary free of the media; you will find no TVs in my guest rooms, and at sunrise, sip a cup of coffee as you unwind in the cozy morning room or step onto the private backyard deck drenched in liquid gold sunlight; while at sunset, the front balcony offers a front-row seat to scenic cityscapes and spontaneous fireworks bursting off the banks of the Potomac River at National Harbor.

• Three Private Guest Room: Each elegantly-appointed bedroom features a plush queen bed dressed in silky bamboo linens, a goose-down duvet, and 100% cotton towels. Guests enjoy fleece bathrobes, curated toiletry trays, and shared access to 2.5 bathrooms.

• The Living Room Galleria: A culturally-rich gathering space curated with African-American historical artwork and nostalgic photography, featuring classic board games and a handcrafted master chess table.

• Sunlit Morning & Media Lounge: A serene retreat designed for screen-free bedrooms. Unwind with morning coffee in the sunlight or gather for an evening movie.

• Kitchen & Breakfast Provisions: Full access for light meal prep, refrigeration, and reheating (cooktop use excluded; self-cleanup required). A complimentary help-yourself to Mariby’s refrigerator/freezer & pantry items. Upgraded, hot breakfast selections are available upon request (advance reservation and fee apply).

• Dual Outdoor Terraces: Choose between a secluded backyard deck for quiet relaxation or the scenic front balcony showcasing panoramic views of National Harbor, MGM, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, and historic Alexandria.
