“I'm always on the hunt for a new Bed & Breakfast, especially one that serves a home-cooked breakfast. I came across the reviews of MadlyGiving, which were all 5 stars and decided to book a stay. The occasion was to celebrate my birthday.

When you first enter the house, you are surrounded by rich colors of reds, golds and browns. Family photos all throughout each room, rooted in deep history. Soulful and relaxing music played in the background just adding to the vibe. A library of books; each a poignant and enriching read. We stayed in Shirley's Room, lush with turquoise accents and vintage decor.

The breakfast did not disappoint!! Yes, the biscuits were AMAZING, made from scratch as well as the jam, the potatoes and the eggs!! Delicious and mouthwatering. And of course, there's our gracious and delightful host, Mariby. Her smile is just as bright as the photos from her website and the conversation at the dining table was like sitting with family and talking about the "good ole days" "or catching up". She made us feel at home like we were family visiting from out of town.

I can go on and on about our stay, it was truly a wonderful experience. Mariby's MadlyGiving Bed & Breakfast location is prime for a stay in National Harbor. A cozy, hidden little piece of Zen tucked away in a little neighborhood minutes away from the Harbor. My husband and I will definitely return and have already shared our experience with others!!
