BLACK EYE BISCUITS! My Biscuits SLAPPED with Cheddar Cheese - so named because Grannie just had one and yelled to me, that these biscuits were so good, “they’re more of a BLACK EYE than a SLAP! OhMaGawd! I just finished smacking hard on my NEW BISCUITS, crumbs and all! I am embarrassed to say, that there are only two BLACK EYE Biscuits left! Which means that Grannie and I practically finished off the whole batch ALL BY OURSELVES! And, well, you’re hearing this straight from the horses mouth, my infamous SLAP Biscuits pale in comparison to these new ones! WHAAAAAT! [gasp].
Yup, I slapped them with chunks of Cheddar Cheese! Ooooooom! Oh, before, you were fighting over the last few biscuits, but with these, OHMAGAWD, you’ll be fighting over the crumbs! #MyCrumbsToGoPlease, #BlackEyeBiscuits, #ThingsThatMakeYouGoOom

The BEST EVER HERB CRISPY-CRUSTED ROASTED CHICKEN THIGHS with Fresh-Chopped Cilantro, Rosemary, Thyme, Scallions, Garlic, Red Chili Pepper, Fresh-Squeezed Lemon, seared first in brown butter to ensure crispy skin and baked to the palette’s delight! THE BEFORE AND AFTER IMAGES. Concentrated with a balance of flavors before it even hits the oven! OMG! #ThingsThatMakeYouGoOom

I have finally grown up! Yup, unbelievable to me, that is roasted squash, onions, tomatoes and lemon, really all I had on hand and some chicken thighs, that I had to cook today - I pan seared to get a crispy crust, before I baked them. There was a time, I woulda HAD to do pasta, rice or potatoes as the main; but, for the first time in my life, I am more interested in the fresh vegetables on my plate, the meat a mere side!
One thing for sure, I cut the lemon rings so thin, that after roasting you can easily chew them up; adds POP to the overall flavor of the whole dish and well, the POP of color, compliments of my Arts High training! And, had I known it woulda taste this good, I’d invited you over! I literally threw together some flavors. Now, if I had TRIED to make this, woulda never turned out this good!
Well, because Grannie’s head was down in her plate slurping up the sauce (Garlic, Butter & Lemon)! She ain’t even have to say, Thank you! The slurp told all! #ThingsThatMakeYouGoOom
