In Honor of My Momma, “The Wild Woman,” who lived for The Road; an adventurer, Sissy traveled throughout the U.S.—48 of the 50 States…on her Harley—kept a packed bag, always in take-off mode, should have been a fighter pilot; though, always flying down the road, always ready, always gone, always searching for new heights, loved the night life—a thrill seeker, rough & tough, liked to rough-house, always talk’n shyt, always playing around, always drew an admiring crowd—a dancer, a poet, a truth sayer, straight up, no fuss, all cuss, poised to do battle, strategic fighter—as fierce with her mouth, as with her mind and her uh, weapons—protector, protestor, self-taught professor, always in search of knowledge and adventure—she loved challenges, smart—always reading and researching, top of her class—indeed, in a class of her own, from her nursing background—natural remedies, a “Which Doctor,” and, uh, well, a woman’s prerogative—a professed shopper!  I have always said, in a former life, My Momma would have been a warrior; though, with Bordelle lingerie up under her armor—A Modern Day Shero, oh, she protected me, doggedly; you hear me!  The Original MadlyLiving, indeed; she would approve of this mere dedication to the spirited, larger-than-the-life she lived.

SISSY’S ROOM—The larger of my three standard-size guest rooms (sleeps 2)—features plush queen-size, 4-poster canopy bed with deep Cranberry Red & Violet Velvets & Antique Gold complements and private full bath with whirlpool tub (an Epsom Salt bath, her daily medicinal ritual).

AccommOdations INCLUDE:

• One of Three Guests Rooms — Eloquently appointed with queen-size bed, goose down-stuffed douvet comforter, soft bamboo sheets, cotton-soft towels, plush fleece bathrobes, warm welcoming toiletry tray and full en-suite bath with whirlpool tub

• Kitchen — Access to full kitchen—except, cooking on the stove top is not permitted—and guests are fully responsible for cleaning up after themselves. NOTE: Breakfast is NOT included with room rate(s); though, Breakfast Options are available with advanced notice. Complimentary Help-Yourself Continental is available throughout your stay. See Menu of Breakfast Options—At Additional Charge By Reservation Only

• Morning/TV Room — As there are no TVs in my guest rooms, this room is cozy and comfortable and in the mornings, put your feet up and sip a cup of coffee in the warm sun

• Formal Dining/Meeting Room — Fit for grandeur, comfortably serves up to 10 guests (seated) for 5-Star Private Dining Experiences—at charge by reservation only

• Living/Drawing Room Galleria — Warm and inviting with master chess table, games and lots of nostalgic photos and African-American history

• Outdoor Balcony/Deck — Private backyard deck and scenic front balcony with gorgeous sunsets, views of National Harbor, MGM, Woodrow Wilson Bridge and across the bridge into Alexandria, VA, not to mention, random fireworks display off the bank of the Potomac River at National Harbor

Accommodations include central air/heat, high-speed internet, in-room ceiling/fan, bathrobes, towels, toiletries, iron/board and hair dryer. Rental of a guest room does not include nor imply Exclusive Use—available at additional charge.
