It’s the little things! In the interest of cleanliness, health & safety, the expected esthetics and, of course, THE DESIRED EXPERIENCE, as a guest in my home, some House Rules:

CHECK-IN/OUT

While check-in is generally between 4:00-7:00pm, please let me know your estimated time of arrival—as early/late check-in/out is not always available?  On the day of arrival, if you would text me at 301.455.4144 to keep me posted of the status of your expected time of arrival? Check-out is by 12:00pm.

HOUSE USAGE AREA

Guests will have access and use of the main/2nd level only. The lower level is private and off limits. NOTE: $150 Cleaning Fee applies with all Full-House Reservations only.

YOUR SPACE

For the time you are a guest in my home, consider your room — your own private space.  Accordingly, with rare and few exceptions, I will not enter "your space” during your stay — unless upon request and/or to provide requested service.  With advanced notice, I am happy to accommodate additional requested guest services at additional charge(s) by reservation only.

DESIGNATED EATING AREAS

Please help to maintain a certain level of quality, care & cleanliness; I've created thoughtful, as well comfortable settings in and around my home, specifically for your dining indulgence. Accordingly, I prefer that you not eat in my guest rooms—the service of breakfast-in-bed excluded—and ask that you use only those designated areas (kitchen, dining room, TV room and front/back balconies).

KITCHEN USE

Guests will have access to my kitchen; though, cooking on the stove top is not permitted. While you may utilize the kitchen, please be considerate of other guests; I ask in general that you clean up after yourself. Please place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and wipe up any spills. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. NOTE: Breakfast Options are NOT included in the room rate(s); though, Help-Yourself Continental is available throughout your stay. REFRIGERATOR

Guests will have access to my refrigerator/freezer, where bottled water, beverages and other treats are stored for your pleasure.

TOWELS & SHEETS

Stored in the hall closet; at the end of your stay, if you don’t mind tossing all soiled towels, bath mats and robes into the laundry basket located in your closet.

TOILET FLUSHING

To flush toilet, briefly hold down the handle and then bring the handle all the way up and please do NOT flush anything other than nature and toilet paper and do NOT leave toilet water running. Personal hygiene items can be disposed of in Ziplock bags (stored underneath the sink).

WOOD/GRANITE SURFACES

For the protection of the beautiful wood, glass, granite and marble surfaces (floors, desks, counter and tabletops) throughout my home, please use a coaster/heat mats placed under your glass beverages/hot pots and no scratchy/sharp items on wood floors, e.g., NO spike heels, NO hot pots or acid liquids on countertops, etc.

NOISE LEVELS

Please be mindful of keeping noise levels reasonable.

QUIET HOURS

Night time is considered quiet hours, between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., when the household is generally sleeping—of course, with flexibility on the weekends. Please be respectful of me, other guests, as well, my neighbors.

SMOKING, ALCOHOL, DRUGS, WEAPONS are NOT permitted

For all of our health and safety, please do not smoke, bring hard liquor, weapons, nor do drugs in and around my home — neither inside the bathing rooms or outside on the balconies. I require strict adherence to this policy, otherwise a $500 cleaning fee will be charged, you may face immediate non-refundable cancellation of your reservation.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS PERMITTED

For full-house overnight stay, three (3) queen beds, accommodating up to six (6) guests are available; though, up to four (4) additional guests are allowed to stay at $75/guest, as twin/full air mattresses are permissible—10 guests max. Non-registered guests who end up staying overnight will incur charge to the responsible party.

NON/REGISTERED GUESTS

ONLY registered guests—overnight and/or dining experiences—are permitted. For the safety and security of all guests, as well as my home, non-registered/day guests are permitted only between the hours of 12:00-6:00pm and must be accompanied at all times by a registered guest. If there are extenuating circumstances, please check with me.

NOT PERMITTED

PARTIES, EVENTS, CHILDREN (UNDER 13), PETS, SMOKING, ALCOHOL, DRUGS, WEAPONS. I require strict adherence; otherwise, a $500 fee will be charged, you may face immediate cancellation of your reservation

EMERGENCIES

Please alert me immediately, no matter the hour, if there is an emergency — fire, fumes, injury, lock out, water leaks, etc. For fire and medical emergencies CALL 911.
