A.  I am HospiTalent Mariby Corpening—An Artist In My Everyday—I write! I paint! I cook! I sew! I serve! I comfort! I give! I love! I laugh! I…live—I Am MadlyLiving, inherently MadlyGiving!

Q. Where are you located?

A.  My home—Private Stay By MadlyGiving - At National Harbor—is located centrally, .2 miles/3-minute drive, in backyard to MGM National Harbor MD, 10 minutes into Old Town Alexandria VA and 20 minutes to downtown Washington DC. Though, please don’t be deceived by the close proximity on maps; while I am minutes, literally in the backyard of National Harbor—a gated community, there is no rear access point; so, depending on where at the Harbor you’re going, you must drive (3-8 minutes) the long way around; so, car/Uber Transportation is necessary.

Q.  Soooo, what exactly do you do?

A.  First, let me say that essentially, with the many splendid things I do…for you, in humble exchange for your purpose-filled contributions, through donation, reservation, participation, collaboration and/or sponsorship at B&B Accommodations, Brunch of Sundays, A Brunch & Learn, Dinner Party, Private Dining Experience and/or Other Services—inherent fundraising—together, we help to support nonprofits in vital hands-on outreach in our local community.

All in the spirit of giving forward, artistically, I do a little of a lot of things; I SERVE, I PAMPER and so, I delightfully offer my guest rooms; though, mainly, I love to cook for you from scratch; my giddy idea—a dream really—of rendering fresh, tasteful, graciously-prepared breakfast/dining specialties.  I so enjoy a good meal, I set out to specialize in elevating the standards of The Brunch/Dining Experience.  My aim is to make my guests’—spirit, belly and being—go, Oooooooom

Know that I enjoy as much setting up, serving it to you and pampering you, too, not to mention, Oh, but the conversation and with lots of laughter on the sideSharing the many splendid things I do, in humble exchange for your purpose-filled donations—my way of giving forward, inherently doing unto us…all! 

Q.  Bed & Breakfast Accommodations?

You kept asking! And so, now offering a relaxing and tranquil stay—three well-appointed guest rooms in the eloquent B&B home of HospiTalent Mariby Corpening—My Home; Born of giving ways, in accordance with My Brand—My Heart, My Passions, My Love of Service—guests may also donate $25 - $125 (more if it so moves you) to the select nonprofits The MadlyGiving Campaign endeavors to support in hands-on outreach in our local community.

Q. What are your Deposit & Cancellation Policies?

A.  Certainly aware that life happens and plans do change. Fifty percent (50%) deposit is due at time of reservation with the remaining 50% balance (including applicable taxes, fees and requested services) to be charged to your credit card on file up to 14 days/2 weeks prior to your arrival. All reservations are subject to the Maryland State Sales Tax and Prince George’s County Hotel Tax. Deposits are nonrefundable; though transferable. No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days/2 weeks of check in; if you must cancel, let me know and, based on availability during a non-peak period, I will make every effort to reschedule your stay. NOTE: No shows, cancellations (within 14 days of reservations), late check-ins and early check-outs are responsible for full payment of the reservation in its entirety and are fully nonrefundable.

Q.  What is A Brunch of Sundays and Brunch & Learns I've seen you advertise?

A.  The “Why” of it all, my MadlyGiving Brunch Experiences are at the heart of all my artistry—aka HospiTalent.  It is my purpose-filled way of Bringing People Together In the Spirit of Giving Forward.  Both the Brunch of Sundays and the Saturday Brunch & Learns Experiences are dining opportunities for you to, not only participate, but also, you may sponsor a brunch, for example, to showcase, impart knowledge, share information, etc. For more information, visit my MadlyGiving page and Contact me to discuss a brunch & learn or charitable opportunity you have in mind.  Note that brunch is served complimentary to The Experience, to THANK YOU!

Perhaps a bit wild, in my state of Mid-Life ... Style!

A. WARNING:  ADULT CONTENT!  I also write, so the MadlyLiving ChroniclesTM are mostly, uh, uh, true works of my art, based on a series (mere situations really) of non-fiction, artistically painted with some conviction, logistically tainted with a Hole's lot of suspicion, some just wrong and even offensive diction, written Holely for the purpose of mature, laugh-out-loud, adult entertainment. BRUNCH SERVICES

Q.  For your brunch services, how many people do you accommodate?

A.  My Brunch/Dining Experiences are private, intentionally kept intimate and served seated ideally for 6-8 guests; though, I will accommodate up to 10 guests—for a sit-down dining experience.

Q.  What if I want to invite more than 10?

A.  My Brunch Experiences require an intimate setting of no more than 10 guests; however, if you'd prefer a continental brunch buffet (rather than My Brunch Experience), then, I can accommodate up to 20-30 guests.

Q.  For how long is your brunch?

A.  Brunch Experiences generally go on for 3-4 hours; it's a part of my special 3G recipe of GOOD company, GOOD conversation, complemented with simply GOOD food!

Q.  What if I want to do a party, a shower, etc.; do you permit events at your location? 

A.  No.  This is my home and not an event space; however, in keeping with an intimate charitable dining experience, you may want to consider hosting, sponsoring and/or participating in my MadlyGiving Brunch of Sundays or Brunch & Learn dining experiences.

Q.  What if I only want you to drop off / deliver breakfast items; do you cater? 

A.  No, I do not cater. Note that I am a HospiTalent, though neither a trained chef, nor a professional caterer, but a home cook, who loves, loves, loves to cook, as much as serve fresh, graciously-prepared, taste-filled dining experiences—in purpose!

Q.  Is there a set menu for your brunches?

A.  I have a thoughtfully-prepared menu selections; however, you may mix it up (at charge).  Visit my Menu Options page and click on the Menu Button.

Q.  Do you accommodate alternative menus, such as vegan, vegetarian or restricted diets?

A.  Yes, with sufficient notice, I will happily accommodate alternative menus for dietary restrictions, food allergies, cultural preferences, etc.

Q.  How much for A Brunch Experience?

A.  To CREATE YOUR OWN Private Brunch (or Dinner Party) Experience, pricing starts at $75/guest and up, for my basic sit-down Dining Experience, to as much as $195/guest for The Ultimate Seafood Experience (which would include Jumbo Alaskan Crab Legs, Maryland Blue Crabs, Golden Lump Crab Cakes, Grilled Salmon, Mussels, Oysters, Jumbo Shrimps & Sea Scallops); though, the average per guest, based upon the most popular menu items, is generally $100/guest.  For Menu Options, visit my Brunch/Dining Experience page and click on the Menu Button.

A.  Only on a rare occasion, I will take orders for baked goods; though, you may request to pre-order my scratch-made specialties:  Apple & Sweet Potato Pies, Chocolate, Lemon-Coconut & Carrot Cup/Cakes, Fresh Blueberry & Apple-Raisin Bran Muffins, Banana-Coconut Bread and, even My Buttermilk Slap Biscuits. Image Awards Foundation, Black Lives Matter and S.O.M.E.

A.  While you may make room reservations directly on my website, alternatively, you may also pay for all services in the form of Credit/Debit Card or by Bank/Travelers' Check and Money Order.

Q.  What are the payment terms?

A.  On most services, I require a contract and half down to secure the date, and the balance is due no later than two (2) weeks before your event/service is completed. If planning further ahead than 6 months, a $100 Save-The-Date Donation Deposit is required—with half the balance due in 60 days.

Q.  Can my guests pay individually (for themselves)?

A.  While most hosts pay the deposit and are ultimately responsible for the full amount, yes, your guests can pay individually directly through Square, Zelle, CashApp or Venmo and when donating, it's important to indicate to which brunch experience name/event you are contributing!

Q.  May I cancel my reservation?

A.  If for any reason you must cancel your dining experience or service(s), all payments are NON-refundable, though transferable to another dining experience and/or service.

Q.  What about any brunch policies?

A.  By attendance, all guests/participants agree to the following:

  • Timely Arrival: I ask that you please try to arrive on time, as I generally do NOT start seating guests for the Dining Experience until all or most guests have arrived and, a personal pet peeve, You know I just hate for my good & fresh food, especially prepared for you…to get cold!

  • Parking: Driveway and street parking are available; though, please do NOT park or drive on the grass and do NOT block anyone's driveway or mailbox!

  • Food Allergies & Dietary Restrictions: Upon arrival, please remind me again of any food allergies and/or dietary restrictions!

  • Photography: As you know, I and other guests often may be snapping pictures to be posted on social media. If you wish NOT, please alert us before or at your dining experience!
