Ganache

Some cake & ice cream with my Ganache, please!  I am not even a chocolate person, but I don't know which one makes my mouth water more - the moist chocolate cake or the rich (not too sweet) Ganache icing (essentially chocolate and cream) drizzled on, well, just anything.

After trying many recipes, this chocolate cake seems so unconventional - a very loose batter and that you cream the eggs and not the butter; just seems wrong - so loose - when you're pouring it in the cake pans; but when it's done, it's the moistness that literally takes the cake there.  Truly, you can just eat the cake without any icing; better still, I eat the Ganache without any cake! Yes, I do!  OOOOOOOM!

Because My Grannie loves chocolate, I would always try a different chocolate cake recipe for her birthdays; but, when we got to this recipe- from one of my favorite food enthusiasts -  www.SmittenKitchen.com - Grannie said, this is the one!  You never have to make another chocolate cake recipe!   Here's the recipe for Mariby Corpening's Favorite Chocolate Cake.

COMMENTS WELCOMED!

Sometimes, I even use the Ganache as a filling, where I punch holes in the cake and fill them with Ganache.  Ooooooom!
